| Lauren’s jewelry is inspired by vintage and contemporary, artistic and non-artistic sources, and traditional and non-traditional fashion sources. From jewelry incorporating vintage components to jewelry emulating designs sold in high end department stores and jewelry inspired by nature, she is always thinking of new designs with a decidedly feminine but urban appeal. Stones and jewelry components from all over the world, intriguing teams of color, and the utmost attention to detail are her trademark. Her multi-faceted approach is evident in her jewelry. She always had a passion and a knack for design and color and decided to enroll in New York University's Jewelry Making program where she learned how to create beautiful accessories using silver, copper, and gold filled materials. She has continued to perfect her technique and has incorporated advanced color theories into her designs to create new looks using sophisticated color combinations with lovely crystals, luminous semi-precious stones, and pearls. Presently, she is learning the difficult art of enameling to add a different flair to her pieces. She loves using vintage components in her line to add charm and nostalgia to her jewelry. By clicking on "Vintage", you will see the latest pieces using vintage and European components. By the time you give one of her vintage jewelry pieces to your great niece, it may already be an antique! Lauren believes that wearing jewelry is part of the joy of being a woman. A native of the area, Lauren resides in Weehawken, NJ. Lauren sells her pieces at juried art festivals, through boutiques and private trunk shows. She designs beautiful one of a kind jewelry for bridal parties. Lauren also provides a service of taking customers’ heirloom beads and incorporating them into new designs that complement the genre of the beads and honor the woman that previously owned them. If you are interested in hosting a trunk show or have any questions please contact Lauren at 201-390-3373 or email her at lmt@laurensdesigns.biz. Art Festivals she attended in the past and will be attending in the future: * Hoboken Arts and Crafts Fair on Washington Street. * Red Bank Arts Festival on Broad Street. |
